Mid-Week Blues-Buster Week 2.4 NO WINNERS

Well then.

Week 2.4 of the Mid-Week Blues-Buster was a dismal failure.

We had three excellent entries, only two of which were eligible to win the challenge.

I don’t believe in default winning so I’m declaring this week null and void.

Big thanks to Jim, Cecilia, and Bryan for taking the time to create for us, and thanks to Judge Mark Ethridge for being willing to serve.

If Mark has no objection I’m going to keep him on for Week 2.5.

I’m going to give this thing another try. Maybe it’s time for me to re-evaluate the viability of this challenge.

Cheers, everyone. See you on Tuesday.

  1. Team Netherworld loves your prompts, but we wouldn’t qualify for entry as the stuff we write tends to be serial fan fiction.

  2. May I suggest you try a bit of upbeat in the music prompt for a few weeks and see if that encourages a few. 🙂 Glad to have the opportunity here. 🙂 Thanks for pulling me up on word counts too. I was being downright slack with that last piece and found an easy 190 to cut.

  3. I wouldn’t give up on the whole challenge just as yet. You’ve had some great turn outs recently. I think music is very emotional and sometimes it just might not hit enough people quite right. I had trouble with that prompt. Nothing wrong with it but it just didn’t pull anything out of me. This is the ONLY challenge I participate in these days because I think it’s fantastic but I’m not gonna have something every single time. I also love the range of music you pick, it doesn’t have to always be right for me because sometimes it’s so insanely right for other people.
